About The Beneficiary - Decorative Arts Fellowship

The Decorative Arts Fellowship invites an artist in their early-to-mid career to feature their work in the Serenbe Designer Showhouse. The artist will make objects for the interiors of buildings and/or interior design - specifically textiles, furniture, lighting, ceramics, artworks, or metalware - and be chosen by the editorial staff of Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles magazine, the lead designer for the Serenbe Designer Showhouse, and Serenbe.

The 2024 recipient of the Decorative Arts Fellowship is Sophie Cook, who will be in residency with The Art Farm Fall 2024. Sophie's porcelain work will be on view at the showhouse and available for sale from Jane Jackson's The Object Space and on-site at the Vairehouse pop-up shop on behalf of The Object Space, with 20% of sales benefiting the Art Farm.

Sophie will curate special porcelain editions for Serenbe. You can reserve and purchase editions during showhouse tours.

There will also be multiple opportunities to meet Sophie and view her artwork while she is in residence October 2-5. You can join her at a Sip & Stroll reception at the showhouse and at our signature event, Art Over Dinner, both on Saturday October 5, 2024.
